Amplifier

 This article is about an LM3886 IC (integrated circuit) amplifier

that I purchased on eBay at the end of last year (2020).

The sound output appears clear, unique, and modern.
The amplifier has a low gain but can drive
high power, low impedance (resistance) speakers.

When turned ON the heat sink becomes very hot.
When the circuit arrived, there was no heat sink attached.

I had to purchase my own heat sink
and attach it to the heat transfer paste.

I should have purchased a bigger heat sink
that can dissipate the high IC junction temperature of this amplifier.

The circuit needs a negative supply,
connected to the blue wire.

There could be other circuits on eBay,

with LM3886 IC that does not require the negative supply.
